INSPECTIONS

 

 

Questions can be directed to permits@hedwigtx.gov or by calling City Hall at 713-465-6009.

 

All inspections are the responsibility of the Contractor pulling the permit.

All inspection results are to be found posted on the job site. Calling for inspection results is only necessary as a secondary means and if the inspector has not posted his results.

To schedule an project inspection email the inspection request to permits@hedwigtx.gov
. All requests for inspection need to be submitted by 2:00 pm for a next day inspection. At this time we are not conducting any same day inspections. Inspections are done Monday through Friday only; there are no inspections done during the weekend unless it is considered an emergency and requires a after hours fee of $300.00. NOTE: Please do not leave inspection requests on the city voicemail.

The inspection will be done the next working day after the request is made.   Appointments and/or specific times for an inspection are not normally possible, we will provide an AM or PM time.  

If special consideration is necessary, please notify the City by calling 713-465-6009.  We will contact the Building Official to see if the consideration can be accommodated. 

There is a $84.00 re-inspection fee if any inspection fails due to the permit not being posted, the work not being ready or if the work does not pass inspection.

Failure to pay a re-inspection fee and/or schedule all inspections may result in the inability to have the final inspection done or pull future permits. In case of flagrant non-compliance, the State of Texas Board for the subject Trade may be notified.
