Permit Fees for Residential Projects

Permit fees for General Contractors are based on the square footage of the project and plan review. Permit fees for Sub-contractors are based on the number of inspections that are required.  The cost per inspection is $84.00.

Inspections

Email for residential inspections: permits@hedwigtx.gov

 

Inspections are to be requested by email only no later than 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 12:30 pm on Friday. All inspections are next day with AM or PM times only. Same day inspections are an additional $84.00 fee.

 

NOTE: Please do not leave inspections requests on the city voicemail.

Permitted construction hours:

Residential projects:

Monday - Friday 7 am to 7 pm

Saturday 9 am to 6 pm

Sunday  12 pm to 5 pm

Commercial projects:

Monday - Sunday 7 am to 7 pm
