Crime Scene Specialists

Criminal investigations have benefited greatly from technological advances over the
years and today’s investigators rely heavily on forensic evidence to solve crimes. Furthermore, juries respond favorably to forensic evidence. To maintain its value forensic evidence must be skillfully collected. The Hedwig Village Police Department’s crime scene unit consists of three crime scene specialists, one detective, and a crime scene supervisor. Each member of the crime scene unit is certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. The crime scene unit utilizes the latest in evidence gathering technology and is available for service twenty-four hours a day.
